MOOSE & SQUIRREL

Medicine Hat’s Moose and Squirrel is Alberta’s premier destination for original street art, home style eats, including vegetarian & vegan offerings, ice cream, spirits & live music in a garden setting. Located in Downtown Medicine Hat and one block from Medicine Hat’s new Waterfront District, along the Saskatchewan River. The Moose and Squirrel showcases murals by local and international artists.

Guests can enjoy the outdoor patio which features cooling misters to help cool down during Medicine Hat’s hot summers. We are a favourite local hangout for Hatter’s and ‘what to do’ for tourists. Located 5 minutes from Hwy 1, Moose and Squirrel Bistro is the perfect place for traveller’s to stop and stretch your legs.

treats

We like to have fun. So we don’t just have ice cream cones; every week we create specialty Sundaes & Floats made with premium ice cream from Foothills Creamery. Our offerings change weekly based on pop culture phenomenon. Come down and see what 'theme' inspired us this week.

cocktails

Cocktails!! We love cocktails. Boozey one's, non-alcohol one's.. crazy one's.. it's all about cocktails. We're mixology school sweethearts, and we know our beverages. From our everyday specials to our weekly concoctions, the Moose and Squirrel is your place to relax and enjoy the summer. Hell.. we even have ice cream floats for grown up's.

MUSIC

Moose & Squirrel Bistro hosts local and travelling musicians from across North America. An intimate stage, the best "acoustics in the city", and an outdoor setting. Come enjoy brilliant live music in our garden courtyard.
